Who took my baby?

Put Ella to bed this evening and we decided to go without the dummy ….. from the get go.

She had a little strop and so I decided to talk to her about being a ‘big girl’.
:roll:

Can’t believe we’ve reached this stage already!

So followed a chat about how ‘big girls’ don’t need dummies, Rowan doesn’t have one does she?, you didn’t have one last night and you were fine – you just need to close your eyes and go to sleep.

Do you want to be a big girl? *Frantic nods

Then she got all calm and we put her down and this is when Rowan decided to have her bedtime poop :evil: Nearly every night she does this …. just settling them down and Rowan decides she wants to poo.

The thing is… I could be grumpy with her and have a strop because she didn’t say earlier … but to be fair? We never learn. About 4 months this has been happening and do I ever remember to ask her at bathtime if she needs the toilet?

No.

This always gets Ella wriggling around again ‘cos she gets interested in what’s happening… and then the problem with that is she gets disturbed when Rowan comes back in the room as well.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So Rowan has gone to the toilet and Ella got miserable about being bothered and got up, threw her blanket on the floor and said
‘I don’t want that blanket anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!” in true ‘I’m a stroppy teenager fashion’.
Who took my beautiful baby and left me with this horrible child?!?!
:neutral:
**** 1 hour and 30 minutes and she was asleep. Bless little Rowan not talking to her… at one point she had her hand over her face to hide it from Ella in an effort to stop the shouting! Let’s hope she’s forgotten what a dummy looks like by… this time next week? Yeah? Yeah? K?
Cool. I think so too!
    I tried to comment just that on a flickr pic last night – where’d the baby go?!?!?!?!?
    Fran was Ella’s ager when she had to dump the dummy for her op. She was totally over it in a week and when she occasionally found them, she barely knew what to do with them, just like they forget how to breastfeed.
    Yeah I kinda thought that’s what it would be – she went to sleep after 30 minutes or so tonight.. Rowan had them & we took them away at 6 months – she was like totally over it dude after 5 days… when she found one in a dusty corner somewhere before Ella was born she was all ‘what’s this weird thing mum?’
